06 Aftercare
What does recovery after smile designing look like?

First 48 hours
Teeth that were whitened or shaped can be sensitive, so avoid very hot or cold food and strongly coloured drinks such as tea, coffee and red wine. Take only the medicines prescribed.
First week
Chew gently on new bonding, veneers or crowns, and avoid biting hard objects with the front teeth. Brush gently, and keep cleaning around the gum line. Gum contouring areas need soft food for a few days.
First months
A review checks the bite and the colour. If anything feels high, rough or different, tell the clinic, because small adjustments are quick and easiest soon after treatment.
Long term
Clean twice a day and between your teeth, attend regular cleanings, and wear a night guard if you grind your teeth. Colour from tea, coffee and tobacco can build up on natural teeth and on bonding.
